UCC Elec Eng Schools Quiz
UCC has championed an Electrical Engineering Quiz for high schools and in 2012 celebrated the 11th Anniversary of the Quiz held at UCC. A team from Coláiste Chríost Rí were the 2012 champions. The UCC event is usually held in the Electrical Engineering Building on the Main UCC Campus. All teams compete for the overall title and a prize donated by a sponsor is awarded to the winning school. There are also additional prizes given away in UCC on the day and there is a perpetual shield to win for the school. The quiz is free to enter and is open to any 5th or 6th year students studying honours maths, with a team of 4 students from each school. Free refreshments are provided for all competitors, and teachers are also invited to attend.
