Biography
I completed my BSc in Marine Sciences at the University of Vigo (Spain) in 2024, where my interests leaned towards Remote Sensing, GIS, and Marine and Coastal Management. During my studies, I gained practical experience in hydrographic surveying and environmental sampling through research cruises in the Ría de Vigo.
This motivated me to pursue the Applied Marine and Coastal Management MSc at University College Cork. My research project focuses on developing an interactive web GIS to help manage spatial conflicts in the marine environment, using hybrid floating wind–wave platform site selection as a case study.
Research
My current project (PhD) focuses on developing tools to process and classify magnetometry data, integrating geostatistical and machine learning methods to improve offshore survey efficiency. The developments will be applied to the South Coast DMAP.
