Our Occupational Therapy clinics are delivered in partnership with the HSE, whose clinicians play an important role in both patient care and student education. These partnerships ensure that clinics are embedded in real-world practice settings, providing dedicated space for patients while also creating meaningful, practice-based learning opportunities for our students.

Occupational Therapy students learn a broad range of knowledge and skills during their 4-year programme and the clinic provides a range of experiences for students, in particular to make the learning real. As a task-based learning programme, learning on the job, doing tasks related to practising occupational therapy ensures students’ learning is as effective as possible. Students attend the clinic in an observational and reflective capacity.
