BiographyJosephine is originally from Zambia. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Physics at the Copperbelt University (CBU), Zambia, in 2022. She later obtained her MSc from the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), where her research focused on a multiwavelength study of the relationship between galaxy mergers, active galactic nuclei (AGN), and star formation. Josephine began her PhD at UCC in January 2026. Her current research uses high-redshift cosmological simulations to study the structure and evolution of galaxies in the early Universe. She focuses on the angular momentum evolution of massive galaxies at redshifts z > 5 and explores how this is influenced by, and influences, the growth and feedback processes from with massive black holes. |
