Irish Hand Society Upper Limb Course

About this event

For optimal surgical success in upper limb surgery the surgeon requires a thorough knowledge of the anatomy, an understanding of the theory behind structure repair, reconstructive techniques and care in tissue handling for a successful wound healing process. This hands-on cadaver course will concentrate on teaching a deeper understanding of upper limb applied anatomy for surgical planning and reconstruction. Selected incision approaches will be demonstrated to joints and other key anatomical points in the upper limb. Key considerations will be discussed with expert faculty linking anatomical considerations to operative decision making
