The ASSERT Centre at University College Cork hosted an advanced simulation training programme with West Cork Rapid Response, led by Dr. Jason van der Velde, to enhance emergency care skills among paramedics and EMTs. Using ASSERT’s high-tech simulation suite and a 270-degree video wall, participants practiced critical care scenarios in realistic, location-based environments, strengthening clinical readiness and decision-making.

Trauma Resuscitation Anaesthesiology at ASSERT
20 Sep 2024ASSERT Centre proudly hosted the first Trauma Resuscitation Anaesthesiology Course, offering anaesthetic teams an immersive, high-fidelity simulation experience to enhance trauma management and decision-making skills. With support from Medguard, Decent Simulators, and expert faculty from Cork University Hospital and the UK, the course successfully combined technical training with complex scenario-based learning.
