Dr Rossana Henriques,
Coordinator & Co-Principal Investigator

Lead researcher and senior lecturer in plant genetics at University College Cork. Her team uses model species such as Arabidopsis thaliana and crops such as white clover and perennial rye grass to assess how a changing climate will impact food security worldwide.

Dr Fidelma Butler, Co-Principal Investigator

Senior lecturer in the School of Biological, Earth & Environmental Sciences at University College Cork, Fidelma is an applied ecologist with wide ranging interests, from mammal and insect ecology to the effects of invasive species.

Dr Michelle McKeown, Collaborator

Michelle is an environmental geographer and lecturer in the School of Geography, she has an interest in how ecosystems respond to changes in climate and anthropogenic activities. Michelle has ongoing research projects in mid-latitude and tropical locations focusing on understanding long-term climate dynamics, developing tools to monitor ecosystem integrity, and identifying carbon loss from land to water.

Ciara Butler, BSc. Hons

BSc Hons Ecology & Environmental Biology graduate from University College Cork, currently pursuing a Masters by Research in plant science, with a passion for pollinators and plant biology especially flowers. Ciara is responsible for data collection and is involved in data analysis, presentation and dissemination.

Thomas Hartery, Research Assistant

Thomas is a Research Assistant on the ARID project at University College Cork. He holds a degree in Applied Plant Biology and works across field and laboratory components of the project, focusing on clover–pollinator interactions in Irish dairy systems.
