The Higher Diploma in Applied Computing Technology may be taken full-time over 9 months or part-time for 18 months over two academic years from the date of first registration for the programme.
Entry Requirements
Graduates of any discipline (other than those who have already
undertaken an equivalent programme) or those with an equivalent
professional qualification are eligible to apply.
Programme Requirements
Students take 60 credits as follows:
Full-Time
Students take 30 credits in Period 1 and 30 credits in Period 2 as
follows:

CS5007 Computer Applications with Visual Basic (5
credits)
CS5008 Internet Computing (5 credits)
CS5009 Multimedia (5 credits)
CS5015 Object-oriented Software Development (10 credits)
CS5016 Web Technologies 1 (10 credits)
CS5017 Web Technologies 2 (10 credits)
Part-Time
Part-time students take 30 credits in each of the two academic

MSc in Computing Science
Candidates who have obtained at least Second Class Honours in the
Higher Diploma in Applied Computing Technology, having attained at
least 50% in the module CS5015 Object-Oriented Software
Development, may apply to enter the MSc in Computing Science.
Certificate in Applied Computing Technology
Part-time candidates who have passed Year 1 may exit the programme
and be awarded a Certificate in Applied Computing Technology.
