Simon Coulter wins SEFS Summer Research Bursary with URG
Simon Coulter has won a College of SEFS 2013 Undergraduate Summer Research Bursary, to be hosted in the Ultrasonics Research Group.
Simon is a top 2nd year undergraduate student studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and he will be working in the Ultrasonics Research Group in UCC for 8 weeks over the summer. The Summer Bursaries are extremely prestigious, with only 10 awarded on a competitive basis in the entire College of SEFS in UCC. Simon's research will investigate automated analysis of tongue contours from ultrasonic images, and the project is a collaboration with the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences in UCC.
