Note: A native of Lanarkshire, Webster was one of the Auxiliaries killed or mortally wounded in perhaps the greatest single disaster suffered by crown forces in Ireland during the war of 1919-21. He had joined the ADRIC about two weeks before his death. He had previously been a soldier, with the rank of lieutenant in the Black Watch Regiment.
