Note: A member of the Military Wireless Section of the Royal Engineers, Corless died when by accident he ‘fell from a high window in Victoria Barracks, Cork, on Christmas night and was killed instantly’. See II, 27 Dec. 1919. This death appears to have been accidental. Corless was said at the inquest to have ‘had a few drinks but was not drunk’.
