Recognised School-Leaving Qualification(s)

Apolytirion of Lykeiou (Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate) (from 2010 only) is acceptable up to 500 points.

To attain over 500 points, applicants must also present satisfactory results in 1st year in a recognised 3rd level institution at a level equivalent to that of the programme applied for.

Subject pass mark for University purposes:

15 (scale 0-20 where 20 is max)

Minimum Entry Requirements/Matriculation:

The minimum eligibility criteria follow. Proof of English proficiency is required in all cases. There may also be specific subject requirements for courses.

Level 8     2 H5 required       Overall minimum of 17 in Apolytirion which must include 6 distinct recognised subjects                           

Competence in English Language:

The minimum English requirement is 18.75 in Apolytirion of Lykeiou or equivalent English Language competence. Note applicants whose school-leaving examinations are more than two years old should present additional proof of English.

Provided there are adequate recognised subjects, the average as calculated on the Apolytirion will be used.  For programmes over 500 points, applicants must also present satisfactory results in a cognate subject at the end of the 1st year in a recognised 3rd level institution at a level equivalent to that of the programme applied for. 

Single Sitting: All subjects are examined at the same time and points are calculated based on a single sitting.

Bonus points for maths: Not applicable
