Blog for UCC

We are looking for postgraduate students, both taught and research to blog for us.

Calling research students to spread the word about your research

We would love research students to contribute and spread the word about your research and your PhD journey. UCC has an abundance of interesting, exciting and unusual research projects and we’d like to share these stories. We use our blog to showcase UCC research and the PhD journey to a wide audience. Your posts will be live on our blog and the blog will be shared on all UCC social media networks. We are seeking 200-600 words and a photograph to accompany the online piece. Please contact Lisa Brett, EU Postgraduate Officer (l.brett@ucc.ie) for more details.

General postgraduate student life

We are looking for postgrad students to tell us your story (in less than 600 words) and are interested in the following themes:

  • Specific aspects of your course that have interested/impressed you
  • A standout event from your first semester – e.g. a guest lecturer or a class trip
  • A day/week in the life of a postgraduate student
  • Your student experience to date – e.g. best places to eat on campus, best places to hang out and catch up with friends on campus, a student’s guide to Cork City
  • Any society or club you may have joined
  • Your POSTGRADUATE GOALS and how you are doing on them.

Please provide at least one photograph to supplement your blog post (doesn't have to be a picture of you, be as creative as you like).

For the more adventurous, we are happy to accept video blogs also!
