As we journey through life many pathways present themselves to us, and often there are choices to be made. The Pathways to Education event, as part of the Lifelong Learning Festival, will help you to explore the pathways that are open to you in your return to education. The Mature Student Office invites you to come and meet current and past mature students who are journeying along these pathways and see the dizzying heights that can be achieved.

Corks first citizen, Lord Mayor Cllr. Chris O’Leary will lead a journey reconstruction as he recalls his return to UCC as a mature student some years ago. Dr Tony Lynch (CUH) will also share insights to his return to the College of Medicine and Health as a mature student and all at the Mature Student Office will be available to guide you through any questions you may have. We are also delighted to welcome UCC’s Adult & Community Education Officer, Clíodhna O’Callaghan who will provide a brief overview of the pathways to education on offer via the Centre for Adult Continuing Education.

We invite you to join us for refreshments on Wednesday April 14th at 1pm in the Aula Maxima where our President, Dr Michael Murphy will open the event and explain the special place mature students hold in UCC.
