MRes Project Description
Title: Progressive policies and social movements: A new Uruguay
This project aims to examine current politics in Uruguay under the central-left government of the Frente Amplio (in office since 2005). The study should reveal the progressive politics applied by the Frente Amplio by looking at an Energy Policy that implied an impressive switch to renewable sources for the county's energy supply, and analise the governing party's positioning in the regional and international arena.
