Sacred Histories: A Festschrift for Máire Herbert, edited by John Carey, Kevin Murray and Caitríona Ó Dochartaigh.
On Friday, 6 November 2015, there took place the launch of Sacred Histories: A Festschrift for Máire Herbert (edited by John Carey, Kevin Murray and Caitríona Ó Dochartaigh), to mark the seminal contribution of Professor Máire Herbert to the field of Celtic Studies. The event was held in the Aula Maxima: Patricia Coughlan, Professor Emerita, School of English, UCC, was speaker; and "Planxty Máire Herbert", a piece of harp music especially composed for the occasion, was played by the composer Fiachra Ó Corragáin. The volume is published by Four Courts Press.
