Editing & Proofreading
This session will explain the difference between editing and proofreading, point out key things to look out for and offer some practical tips to help develop your skills in this area. It is a practical session that will allow you gain the skills required to proofread your own material and ensure that what you submit is the final draft, not the first draft.
The Culture of Academic Writing is a must for any visiting students. It will look at the structure of an assignment and provide you with guidance in your approach. See you Monday lunchtime (1 pm).
Make sure you are making the most out of your reading with Notetaking for Reading on Tuesday at 2pm.
On Wednesday, you can take How to Write an Essay at 12 noon, while on Thursday you can learn Editing and Proof Reading at 11 am.
There are also Writing Clinics available every day throughout the week. This is where you get to spend 30 minutes with one of our tutors, discussing your writing.
As always, you can access our timetable and book your place for these sessions here:
