Touch Free Printing
The Managed Print Service in UCC, provided by Cantec Ltd. and IT Services has moved to Touch-Free Printing. This is a measure to reduce risk of COVID-19 transmission through the touch screens and keypads on the Managed Print Service multifunctional devices (Printer/Copier/Scanner).
Users of the Managed Print Service will be aware that when print jobs are submitted they are held in a queue until they are selectively released at one of the Managed Print Service multifunctional devices. (Secure Print) Print jobs will still be held in a queue but once you present your ID card at the printer, all of your queued print jobs will be printed immediately.
Once Touch-Free Printing has been enabled on a device the logon screen will look like this:
If you need to check or delete queued jobs you can do so at: https://mps.ucc.ie/mom/
To delete a queued print job, select it from the list and click on the “trashcan” icon at the top of the screen.
This change is being made in order to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19 in UCC and in the broader community.
