New Printers!

27 Jun 2019
Open Access multi-function printers to be replaced in July

IT Services will be replacing all the multi-function printers in the open access computer labs in July.

We will be deploying a mix of Canon imageRUNNER Advance 4000, 5000 and 6000 series printers. These printers are Energy Star certified and incorporate recycled materials and bio plastics.

Printing and copying payment and release will no longer operate through the UCC Smartcard, you will be able to release your print jobs using your ID card but at the printer itself instead of at a Smartcard terminal.

Print prices will remain unchanged. Payment will operate through a separate system where you will have a credit balance on your ID card, but this balance is used only for printing and copying. You can top-up your balance online at https://uccprint.ucc.ie/topup

The Print service will be unavailable from July 15th – 17th

The print service will be unavailable for three days to facilitate the migration to the new printer hardware. To ensure minimal disruption to students a printing service will be available at the student helpdesks in the Boole Library, Boole Basement and Brookfield Library.

We will try to minimise any disruption to students during this migration and will post regular updates on the SIT website. sit.ucc.ie
