SEFS Students' Awards Ceremony
GRADUATE OF THE YEAR & QUERCUS SCHOLARSHIPS 2017-2018
29 students received awards at the College of Science, Engineering & Food Science (SEFS) Awards Ceremony in March 2017.
Professor Paul Ross, Head of College of SEFS and Professor Justin McCarthy, Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, College of SEFS, commended all the scholarship students and graduates and presented the awards to all, including the SEFS Graduate of the Year 2017, James Healy, who graduated with a first class BSc Honours in Physiology and the Runner-Up, Eimear Crotty, who graduated with a BSc Honours in Computer Science. In making these two awards, the academic achievements as well as the recipients’ “full participation” in UCC life were considered.

Undergraduate Quercus College Scholarships were also presented to students based on their academic performance in their 2017 examinations.

Postgraduate Taught Masters Academic Scholarships were awarded to students based on achieving a 1H in their undergraduate degree and where deemed to demonstrate an exceptional level of academic excellence and commitment to their masters course of choice.
