Double RIAI success for CCAE Architecture Graduates

29 Nov 2016

Two Master of Architecture Graduates claim deserved prizes at the annual RIAI Conference

The work of Sean McMahon and Ronan Power, who are two recent Master of Architecture Graduates on the joint UCC/CIT Course at Cork Centre for Architectural Education, were awarded First Places for their respective submissions. Their submissions were judged against all Final Year work from the 7 Architecture Course on the Island of Ireland.

Sean was awarded the "Scott Tallon Walker Design Excellence Award" for his Design Thesis Project which was based in Prague, and he will receive a share of €5,000 in overall prize money. Ronan was declared joint-Winner of the Architecture Ireland "Thesis Writing Prize", based on his observations and research whilst based in Berlin during the Course.

Their success is richly deserved, and I'd like to extend my congratulations to them both, and my thanks to all involved across the Institution for assisting and supporting their learning and development.
