What will I study in the BSc in Rural Development?
What will I study?
Each year you have the opportunity to take 60 credits of modules. A BSc in Rural Development may be completed within 3 years (180 credits). The modules listed below in bold are core modules which you need to complete. In order to make up the 60 credits for each level you may choose the balance fron the other modules (known as electives). Your study may be spread over a further extended period to accommodate work/life commitments. In addition you may take shorter blocks of credits to lead to Continuous Professional Development (15 credits), Certificate (30 credits) and/or a Diploma (60 credits).
The module material is all available to you online and is supported by attendance at weekend workshops. The workshops are an essential element of this blended learning programme as they give you the student an opportunity to clarify points and to participate in discussions which deepen your understanding theory and practice.
