Public Consultation on SFI Centres for Research Training

19 Apr 2018

A public consultation is being undertaken by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation (DBEI) to seek views from interested stakeholders on a new programme of Centres for Research Training, which Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) plans to launch in 2018.

It is proposed that the SFI Centres for Research Training will provide sustainable programmes of research and training for cohorts of Research Masters and PhD students commencing in 2019. Additional details on the national consultation process may be found here.

UCC Research Support Services (RSS) and the Dean of Graduate Studies are coordinating a response to this consultation on behalf of the institution.  A document to collect UCC input based on DBEI pre-defined questions is attached to this email.  If you wish to engage with this consultation, please complete the document and return to by close of business Tuesday 17th APRIL.

If your unit, or you as an individual, are making a response to the consultation we would appreciate if you would provide us with a copy of same for information.
