UCC in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland, hosts Taaleem Education Group
The Taaleem Group is one of the largest education providers in the UAE. It currently has a roster of 18 schools, and this will grow to 32 by the end of 2023, catering to 28,000 students. The schools offer British and American curricula as well as the International Baccalaureate, offering early childhood, primary and secondary education. The school group has 1,467 teachers (many of whom are Ireland trained and, indeed, UCC graduates). 90% of Taaleem graduates go overseas to study at 3rd level.
Taaleem also the only organization in the UAE licensed to offer certificated courses for the IBO, as such have a large footprint in the region with continued professional learning for teachers and leaders. UCC staff enjoyed hosting Taaleem Education Group discussing a range of future collaboration opportunities grounded in shared values of the importance of global citizenship.
