Ronan and Paul's Rowing Success

Quercus Sports' Scholar, Paul O'Donovan

Paul O'Donovan and Ronan Byrne, both Quercus Sports Scholars, have achieved success at the Rowing World Championships, which took place in Linz, Austria from August 25th to September 1st. Ronan has also succeeded in winning Gold at the European U23 Rowing Championships, which took place in Greece from the 5th-8th of September. 

Ronan and his partner, Philip Doyle, won Silver in the Men's Double Sculls event at the Rowing World Championships, and Ronan then went on to win Gold in the Men's Single Sculls at the European U23s Rowing Championships.

Paul and his partner, Fintan McCarthy, won Gold in the Men's Lightweight Double Sculls at the World Championships. Congratulations to both Scholars and their partners for their achievements.
