Presentation to Ireland U20 Grand Slam star & UCC Quercus Scholar, John Hodnett in advance of his departure to Argentina for the World Rugby U20 Championship.

Deputy President & Registrar, Professor John O'Halloran, Irish Rugby, UCC Sport and Morgan Buckley, Director of Sport & Physical Activity at UCC today made a presentation to U20 rugby star John Hodnett, 1st Sports Studies & Physical Education student and Quercus scholar as he heads to Argentina to represent Ireland in the U20 Rugby World Cup next month.

John Hodnett is part of the Irish team that heads to Argentina today for the U20 Rugby Championships, also known as the World Cup. John Hodnett, is a Quercus Sports Scholarship recipient and a member of UCC Senior Rugby team. Hodnett, has developed through Munster Development Squad is a Munster ‘A’ starting 15 player. He also played a key role in Ireland U20’s securing the Six Nations Championship in recent weeks.

We are so very proud of John and wish him every success at the tournament.
