President's News
UCC Sports Clubs Reception
In line with our student-centred Academic Strategy, we continue to promote excellence in sport and its full integration into the academic life of the university.
UCC is delighted with the enormous successes of our clubs this year. This, in association with the recently endorsed Strategic Plan, will help UCC to secure our place as a sporting campus of choice.
UCC sports clubs have had a tremendous year and it was a pleasure to attend a reception held for them on 14.05.19 in recognition of this.
Among the incredible achievements in particular this year, were the UCC volleyball Club, The Trampoline club, The Ultimate Frisbee Club, UCC Soccer Clubs, UCC GAA and UCC Rowing Club which has several students on Irish squads and all vying for a seat in a boat for the 2020 Olympics. While I am unable to mention each and every club success, I warmly congratulate them all.
- Professor Patrick O' Shea
