UCC hosts bilateral meeting with Scottish representative to Ireland
The Scottish Saltire was flown over the UCC Quad on February 6 in honour of a visit from Mr John Webster of Scotland House, Dublin.
The Irish and Scottish governments recently launched a joint bilateral review of Irish-Scottish relations, which will lead to a set of joint goals for 2020-2025.
Mr Webster, Head of Scotland House Ireland, Directorate for External Affairs, Scottish Government, visited UCC to discuss the review with specific focus on universities and research institutes.
With such broad and deep mutual interests, maintaining dialogue with our friends, neighbours and collaborators in Scotland is all the more important in a post-Brexit landscape...When we work together in partnership, we all prosper. - UCC President Professor Patrick O'Shea
