Professor Michael B. Murphy announced as EUA President
The announcement of UCC President Emeritus Professer Michael B. Murphy as newly elected President of the EUA was a source of enormous pride for UCC, Cork and Ireland.
Professor Murphy served as President of UCC from 2007 - 2017. He is the first Irish person to hold the position of President of EUA. He will serve a four-year term and preside over the EUA Board. The EUA represents more than 800 universities in 48 countries and it contributes to EU policies on higher education, research and innovation. The EUA Board is responsible for the preparation and implementation of the Association's policy and the planning of its activities.
