Lord Mayor of Belfast Councillor John Finucane discusses Brexit and Belfast in Cork

On October 24, the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor John Finucane, gave a public lecture at University College Cork's Centre for Executive Education at Lapp's Quay.
'Brexit, a Belfast Perspective' was the title of the lecture given by Cllr Finucane who was elected to the office of Lord Mayor on May 21 this year.
The lecture was one in a series of the UCC Jean Monnet Lecture series, which is supported by the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet programme.
Dr Mary Murphy, Jean Monnet chair in European Integration and lecturer in politics in UCC, stated "The Lord Mayor of Belfast's engagement with the UCC Jean Monnet lecture series provides a public space for considering the complex challenges and potential opportunities which Brexit poses for Ireland."
