The School of History hopes to offer the following scholarships and grants during the academic year 2016/17- see http://www.ucc.ie/en/history/graduatestudies/scholarships/

Among them is the Diarmuid Whelan Memorial PhD Scholarship ( for 3rd and 4th year PhD Students 2016/17 – Modern History, Politics or International Relations).  €5,000 – one year

The College of Arts, Celtic Studies & Social Sciences (ACSSS), comprising of 11 Schools and 3 Departments, has 1400 students taking either taught postgraduate (Higher Diploma and MA) courses or undertaking research degrees.
