UCC physics involved in large supercomputing award to run galaxy simulations

Dr. Michael Tremmel, School of Physics, UCC's collaboration with The N-Body Shop has been awarded 162.3 Million cpu-hours on the Frontera supercomputer in the USA to run a large-scale, high resolution galaxy simulation suite.
The N-Body shop is an international collaboration of astrophysicists using and developing numerical solutions to complex, multiscale problems.
