Physics at UCC Celebrates Postgraduate Success at Spring Conferrings
On Wednesday, 25 March, the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science (SEFS) at University College Cork proudly celebrated the achievements of its postgraduate students at the Spring Conferring Ceremony.
Among those honoured were outstanding Physics postgraduate students, recognised for their dedication, research contributions, and academic excellence. The graduates and their supervisors are as follows:
- Francesco Mattana – supervised by Emanuele Pelucchi (UCC / Tyndall) and Gediminas Juska (Tyndall)
- Siddra Maryam – supervised by Stefan Anderson Engels (UCC / Tyndall) and Ray Burke (Tyndall)
This milestone marks the culmination of years of hard work, innovation, and commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of physics. The conferring ceremony provided an opportunity to recognise not only the students’ achievements but also the invaluable guidance and mentorship of their supervisors.
A special mention goes to Siddra Maryam, whose image is featured alongside this announcement.
The School of Physics extends its warmest congratulations to all graduates and wishes them every success in their future careers and endeavours.
