For the 2020/2021 the UCC first year pharmacy (BPharm1) programme will have a different timetable relative to previous years.
To comply with government guidelines and to ensure the safety of both our students and staff, the UCC pharmacy programme will be delivered in a blended fashion in 2020/2021.
This means students will engage in both online learning (live online events and pre-made online content) and on-campus learning (in-person sessions at UCC).
First year UCC pharmacy students (BPharm1) will be required to be on the UCC campus for two days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) throughout Semester 1 of the 2020/2021 academic year, commencing during the week of 28 September 2020. Classes will run from 10 am on both days until about 5 pm.
On Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays throughout Semester 1, students will not be required to be on campus, and teaching and learning-related activities will be conducted remotely (on line) on those three days.
The full BPharm1 timetable and delivery information will be available once you register in September. All timetables are subject to change in line with government and NPHET guidelines in the context of Covid-19.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. I would suggest that all your queries should, in the first place, be directed to the School of Pharmacy general email address (email@example.com) or the BPharm1 year coordinator (Dr. J.J. Keating, firstname.lastname@example.org).
