Biography
Ronan graduated from the University of Bradford in 1993. He returned to Ireland and began working as a resident pharmacist in St. James’s Hospital Dublin, completing his M.Sc in Hospital Pharmacy from the University of Derby in 1995. He moved to the Adelaide Hospital in 1996 and then to Tallaght University Hospital in 1998 and was appointed Chief II Pharmacist responsible for Education and Training. He specialised in Intensive Care Therapeutics with particular interest in drug clearance during continuous renal replacement. He left hospital pharmacy in 2000 and has been working as Superintendent Pharmacist at his family community pharmacy in Clonmel since then. He completed a M.Ed program at the University of Leeds in 2004. He joined the School of Pharmacy, UCC, in 2011 lecturing in Clinical Practice to final year students.
