School of Pharmacy lecturers receive funding from Ionad Bairre, The Teaching and Learning Centre, UCC
Ionad Bairre, The Teaching and Learning Centre, UCC, secured funding of €92,000 from the National Academy for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning, to help advance the strategic goals of the University , by “ENGAGING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS IN RESEARCH”.
Dr. Stephen Byrne, Senior Lecturer, School of Pharmacy, UCC was awarded €8750 of this fund to conduct research with undergraduate students on the following project “The quantification and evaluation of students’ perceptions and treatment recommendations made in over the counter medicines/consultations using virtual patient scenarios in educating undergraduate pharmacy students.”
Dr. Katie Ryan, Lecturer, School of Pharmacy, UCC was awarded €6450 of this fund to conduct research on the following project "Application and assessment of problem based research model to develop critical thinking skills in undergraduate pharmacy students through engagement in active novel research."
