Donagh O'Shea is awarded a scholarship from the Health Research Board

Second year student, Donagh O’ Shea was successful in obtaining a HRB Summer Studentship – his project is entitled “Expanding the clinical application of electroporation in combination with 3D printed scaffolds for the treatment of bone cancer”. 

Donagh will undertake this project with Dr. Katie Ryan at the School of Pharmacy, UCC. Donagh is investigating the formulation design of a novel delivery system to control drug release in conjunction with electroporation as an enhanced therapeutic strategy for bone cancer treatment.
