Establishment of UCC’s New Governing Body 2023
The new Higher Education Authority Act 2022 has changed the composition of UCC’s Governing Body and the method by which members are elected/selected. The number of Governing Body members will reduce from 39 to 19 and will move from a representative based to a skills and competencies based model.
The new Governing Body will take office on 8th November 2023 and will have the following membership:
- 10 external members (including the Chair)
- 6 internal members (including the President)
- 3 students
Two separate processes will take place for internal members:
- An internal election process for 3 UCC staff members (May/June 2023)
- A selection process for a Senior UCC Academic and a Senior UCC Researcher (May/June 2023)
Please click on the relevant link below for further information on these processes including key dates, nomination papers and expression of interest forms.
Further information for UCC staff on the transition to the new Governing Body is available.
