Call for nominations is open

The COVID-19 pandemic has meant the past year has been exceptionally challenging for healthcare services and staff. Now, more than ever the School of Nursing and Midwifery at University College Cork strives to promote excellence in the student experience that emphasises personal, professional, and academic development for life. The School recognises the many exceptional and talented students that are engaged in various activities within and outside the School.

The 2021 Awards have a number of categories:

• Undergraduate Student of the Year

• Postgraduate Student of the Year

• Student Leader of the Year

• Award for Outstanding Contribution to Student Life

• Award for Recognition in Sport

• Award for Recognition in the Arts and Entertainment

• Community Engagement/Activist Award

• Preceptor of the Year

• Best Clinical and Quality Environment of the Year (Undergraduate/Postgraduate)

• Promoting Equality & Diversity Award

• Patricia J. Power Excellence in Clinical Practice Award

• Keady Clifford Award for Excellence in Children’s Nursing

To apply for an award, the nominator must complete the online application form (link below), indicating in no more than 200 words why the nominee should receive the award. Self-nominations are also welcome. Closing date for receipt of completed nomination forms is Friday 9th April 2021.
