Your well-being if our priority

Dear Students,

We are half way through semester one and I hope you have settled into this new college year.

Globally we are facing an unprecedented and an uncertain time, and we greatly appreciate your understanding and flexibility as the situation continually evolves. We know your plans have been altered and this has led to many  difficulties and unforeseen challenges. We recognize that many of you are dealing with the stress associated with reduced social interactions with your class and the faculty; difficulties engaging with teaching and learning online;  some may have financial concerns; for some your accommodation plans may have changed; others have personal and family health concerns.

As we all continue to navigate the weeks and months ahead, we want to take a moment to make sure that, in this extraordinarily demanding and stressful time, you are taking care of yourself, specifically your emotional and physical well-being.  It can be overwhelming to tend to the needs of others while managing the almost-daily communication and recommendations from the School, University and others relating to COVID-19. To help our UCC community handle this uncertainty, a variety of mental health and self-care resources have been developed. Within the School and the University we ask that you reach out for help and support if you need it. The School of Nursing and Midwifery team remain available, Brookfield and UCC is open to students with library and catering facilities and central services still available.

Here is the revised School of Nursing and Midwifery educational and wellbeing supports Infogram.
