Visit by Professor of Mental Health Nursing from Portugal
Visiting Erasmus + Professor Paulo Seabra with 4th Year Mental Health Nursing Students
The School of Nursing and Midwifery Mental Health Team were delighted to welcome Professor Paulo Seabra from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Lisbon. During his visit Professor Seabra delivered seminars on family involvement and addiction to undergraduate mental health nursing students and international students. The Cork Mental Health Services also welcomed him in a variety of settings as did Arbour House Treatment Centre and Community Counselling Service. Portugal has developed a ground breaking health centred approach to drug addiction and Professor Seabra shared his expertise regarding this with staff and students in the School and the Services .
