Visit by 12 French final year nursing students
12 students and 2 lecturers from our Paris Erasmus partners IFITS spent a week at the School learning about Irish health care, nursing care and nurse education
12 final year French nursing students and 2 lecturers from the Institut de Formation Interhospitalier Théodore Simon (IFITS), our Erasmus partner in Paris, visited the school from 11 – 15 April as part of the final year students’ Genesis project. This project focuses on learning about nursing care and nursing education in another European country. During their busy week the students learnt about health care, nursing care and nurse education through lectures, joined 2nd year students in class for Visual Thinking Strategy (as part of this visited the Crawford Gallery) and haematology tutorials, participated in respiratory simulation activities in the CSSRC, spent (in groups of 2/3) an afternoon in the Cork teaching hospitals, and visited some of the more recent College of Medicine and Health resources (ASSERT and FLAME). Thanks to all who contributed to make their week such a successful one.
