Congratulations to three recent graduates of UCC’s BSc Nursing/Midwifery, who beat off competition from universities across the country to win top prizes in the National University of Ireland’s Dr H H Stewart Medical Scholarships in Nursing and Midwifery 2017.
Hazel O'Sullivan was awarded first prize in the BSc Psychiatric Nursing category, winning her a scholarship of €1,000 and a medal.
Amy Fitzgerald won second prize in the BSc Midwifery category, and Daniel Cahill won third prize in the BSc Nursing category.
The awards were based on work submitted for assessment in their final-year research module. We are very proud of their achievements, and wish them every success as they embark on their careers as newly qualified nurses and midwives!
