Four members of the School of Nursing and Midwifery Mental Health team spent a week in Iceland in May working on a European funded project (COMMUNE) to co-produce mental health nursing education with people with lived experience of mental distress. The team worked in partnership with nurse academics and those with lived experience from Finland, Iceland, Dublin, Norway, the Netherlands and Australia to develop the module and plan for the second phase of the research. After five days of intense work, the team headed off to see the powerful forces of nature Iceland has to offer.
