Researchers receive almost €300,000 to improve patient safety through simulation and diversity education over 3-year period

Ms Carol Condon & Ms Nuala Walshe School of Nursing & Midwifery University College Cork recently travelled to Bradford University for the inaugural research meeting of a project entitled ‘Optimizing patient safety through culturally competent simulation-based education with health professionals’. Using the acronym ‘Sim-versity’(Simulation-Diversity), the project aims to stimulate the development and implementation of web- based resources as a novel approach to optimizing patient safety. The research team involves researchers from UK, Ireland, Finland and Slovenia and has been funded through Erasmus+ 2017 Key Action 203 Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education Fund.
