Ms. Maziah Binti Ahmad Marzuki, a PhD student from the National University of Malaysia spent 8 weeks at the School of Nursing & Midwifery  (25th Feb-April 24th) for a research attachment with the supervision of Professor Eileen Savage focusing on health education programme for prevention of obesity in pre-school children.  During her attachment at the School, Maziiah was provided with opportunities to meet leading researchers across the University in the areas of nutritional science, public health, health psychology, and child health research. She worked with Professor Savage on the development of a health education programme focusing specifically on developing a child-friendly programme tailored for pre-school children. 

Maziiah viewed her experiences at the School, University College Cork and Cork city very positively. In addition to the very warm welcome she received, she described her learning experiences to be very stimulating and rich which helped her to advance her PhD work.
