MENTAL HEALTH RESEARCH ‘SPEED DATING’ EVENT
ENGAGE Interdisciplinary Clinical Mental Health Research Network, hosted a research ‘speed dating’ event on Thursday May 4th in Cork Enterprise Centre UCC
ENGAGE Interdisciplinary Clinical Mental Health Research Network, hosted a research ‘speed dating’ event on Thursday May 4th in Cork Enterprise Centre UCC. The event brought together researchers, and clinicians from multiple disciplines, including nursing, psychology, law, social sciences, general practice, microbiology, pharmacy, epidemiology, economics and dentistry to share their research ideas and stimulate partnerships in a social, high-energy, interactive way. Chair of the network, Dr Aine Horgan from UCC’s School of Nursing and Midwifery states that “the development of interdisciplinary mental health research is essential and can allow for people with multiple perspectives and ideologies on mental health to come together to develop a programme of research that is based in real world societal need. This event was all about developing partnerships and collaborations.” ENGAGE also launched its first strategic plan at the event https://www.ucc.ie/en/media/academic/nursing/ENGAGEstrategicplan.pdf
