Ag Eisteacht contribution to PHN education
Patsy Hannan, Ag eisteacht trainer delivered programme to Public health Nurses in North Cork.
Patsy Hannon from Ag Eisteacht introduced their organisation and the ABLE programme to student public health nurses on the 16th of November 2017. ABLE is an accredited evidence based programme. It equips practitioners to provide a spectrum of relational support to their clients according to need. This means, where appropriate, promoting clients’ relational capacity to form and nourish healthy primary relationships. Support may also involve protecting clients’ health and wellbeing, using key messages from research to actively listen, inform and to signpost to other appropriate specialist services as appropriate. The full programme is being delivered to Public health Nurses in North Cork and elsewhere in Ireland as well as other health and social care personnel.
