2nd Year Nursing Student Wins First Place at the World Championship Single Lifts
Held in Telford, England on the 12th of June, Ali-Rose travelled over with the Irish team.
Ali-Rose came first in the World Championship Single Lifts and recorded a new World Record. The competition was held in Telford, England on the 12th of June. Ali-Rose is part of the UCC powerlifting club and travelled over with the Irish team. She won the all Ireland's in February and set a new Irish record qualifying her to compete for Ireland. She is now looking forward to the national full power, powerlifting competition on the 15th of August, where she will be competing in Ardee Co. Louth. She has applied for a sports scholarship for the upcoming academic year and will continue to be training with Ireland and UCC.
