Conferring ceremonies at UCC 20th June were a great success.
Four doctoral students graduated from the School of Nursing and Midwifery
The sun was shining. It was great to see undergraduate, postgraduate, masters and doctoral nursing and midwifery students graduating- well done to students and faculty.
Four doctoral students graduated from the School of Nursing and Midwifery: Gerardina Harnett-Collins, Joan Murphy, Elizabeth Ann O’Connell, Aoife Lane (Ni Ruiseal) (picture attached).
Thank you to Professor Geraldine McCarthy who did the conferring address. She highlighted three key messages to the graduates which were:
- Graduating from medicine and health offers significant opportunities for personal and professional growth and happiness
- The importance of continuing to make a difference through continuous learning and
- The need for the graduates to look after themselves.
